About Sea Kayaking Southwest
Sea Kayaking Southwest is based on the beautiful and unspoilt North Devon coast. Typically running trips in the Bideford Bay and Exmoor coast area. However, we do utilise the southwest peninsular and also run trips to Scotland and further afield. See our trips page for details.
Rob has been paddling for over 20 years, initially learning to kayak on the River Thames in east London. He became an outdoor instructor in 1991 and has worked throughout the UK obtaining national governing body awards in other outdoor pursuits. He is a B.C.U. level 3 sea coach, yacht skipper; he holds coaching awards for inland kayaking and canoe, paddling regularly with frequent trips to Wales and Scotland. Rob also volunteers his time to coach the Ilfracombe Youth Canoe Club.
